After the Second World War, the Korean War was the first conflict between communism and capitalism. It remains unresolved to this day. In this historical moment of widespread warfare, examining the Korean War can help illuminate the true nature of war. The Korean War brought tremendous destruction and death to everyone involved regardless of nationality and ideology, whether victim or perpetrator. Even today, the pain of this conflict is alive among survivors.

Through its visual language, this work creates empathy among audiences for the pain and tension of the Korean War leading to fundamental questions about the justification of all war.
